Song of the Gun

Name fourteen of your closest friends. These must be friends who have seen you at your best, your worst, your happiest, your most frustrated. Imagine their personalities. Imagine their likes and their dislikes. Imagine how they act when they drank way too much, how they react when completely slammed with work, how they handle themselves under the type of situations when they are tested. At long last, imagine them smiling, large and wide.
In the Spring and Summer of 2005, I worked as a waiter at quite possibly one of the worst restaurants in Austin. It shall remain nameless. The friends however are etched in music history. After completing my employment at this nameless place, I gave each of them a song that expressed how I felt about them, and boy did I get some smiles for that.
Each of the fourteen songs revolves around a real person. I named this "Song of the Gun," and played two shows in Austin before completely breaking up and saying no mas. What's leftover however are good memories of My Friends.
