Lunaire Record Available for Free Download!

Lunaire

Warts and all, the first record that started diehipsterdie.com was Lunaire's: B-Sides with no A-Side. On it are songs of lost love punctuated with noisy weirdness and daring arrangements. B-Sides is now available as a free download!

All of the songs heard on this ep were recorded on a crappy computer and computer program, also with one microphone and one effects processor. If nothing else, this album is a fantastic use of sparse arrangement to acheive maximum sound, and perhaps proof positive that creativity can happen even with the least enlightened tools. Click on the album image below to check out a song or two.

Show Update: Dave Wirth

Show Change: Dave Wirth's show at legendary Austin venue The Hole in the Wall has been moved to Thursday September 23rd. Details for this show can be found on the shows page.

In other news, Song Monday just released the third song off of Song of the Gun's record My Friends. It's about two people, Daren and Kadie, and how cute of a couple they were. It's a fun song, so check it out!

SAGA! by The Sidekick, Available as a Free Download

The Sidekick

Available immediately: The Sidekick's first debut album entitled, "SAGA! ...the story of a boy and his computer" as a free download. Click here to get it, or if you are the lazy type and want your own RSS feed of album happenings, click here. The Sidekick will be wrapping up his first Song Monday experience tomorrow. Don't worry, he'll be back and he will be crazier than before.

In additional news, The Sidekick has started up his blog yet again, and much to the chagrin of evildoers everywhere. Fighting crime by blogging? Going to Junior High dances with a cape? Dancing dumbly like a little brat with a huge vocabulary? You bet. Also, Mr Sidekick is on Twitter. Watch yourselves. He's a vigilante after all.

The Sidekick will unfortunately be wrapping up the release of his first album SAGA! ...the story of a boy and his computer on July 19th, 2010. The good news however is that SAGA! will be available, one week today, as a complete collection of songs and freely downloadable. Want to stay abreast of any and all of these releases without having to visit diehipsterdie.com? Easy! Subscribe to the Albums RSS Feed. Google Reader is your friend, perhaps even in this case! Everyone's favorite dork, The Sidekick, will definitely be making more appearances on Song Monday in the future, so stay tuned.

Finally, stay tuned for future shows for Dave Wirth. There are shows in the works for central Texas, so keep a close watch on the shows page, or simply sign up for the performances newsletter. It's really easy to do, you can specify your city to make sure you only receive performance info from there, and you can unsubscribe if you end up hating diehipsterdie.com. But spam is not an option, so you'll end up loving it.
